The Mathews FX is a short, compact, light weight compound bow designed by Mathews to fit a lower price point then their highly advertised models. From day one the FX was a huge success, archers could buy the Mathews name and reputation and a bow with a lifetime warranty for several hundred dollars less then the high end Mathews models. For several years the FX was a strong seller in archery shops everywhere until its popularity faded as other manufacturers began offering bows of comparable quality in the same price rang.

The Mathews FX uses the same perimeter weighted max cam that first appeared on the Zmax model several years earlier. Like all Maxcam bows it should be set-up with the arrow nocked a bit higher then 90 degrees for best performance.
