With the Sq2 Mathews followed a pattern they had started with the MQ series of bows. First a longer bow is introduced, then the next year it is followed with a shorter bow using the same cams and limbs as the first model. In the case of the SQ2 it is the shorter version of the Q2 bow, "S" standing for short Q2.
The SQ2 is a highly manueverable hunting bow. It compensates for its shorter axle length with a higher brace height then the Q2 so it is a very forgiving bow despite its small size.
