Mathews builds two different kinds of bow strings under the Zebra name. The original Mathews string was the Zebra string which has been upgraded to the Zebra Hybrid because it is made of a new blend of high performance materials. The newest Mathews bow string is the Barracuda string (often called Zebra Barracuda) It is a thinner, lighter string then the Zebra yet the material has even less creep (lengthening over time) and stretch (lengthening under tension) then the Zebra Hybrid bow string. Both Zebra and Barracuda strings and cables are available by custom order in a wide variety of colors and almost any length to fit not only Mathews bows but other manufacturers bows.
